NPLW clubs headline Team App Cup Round 2 draw

The Team App Cup Round 2 draw has been drawn with NPLW and the top-ranked State League One sides entering the competition. The likes of Box Hill United, Bulleen Lions, Boroondara Eagles and Heidelberg United will be looking to become the first club crowned two-time champions of the competition.

Box Hill United vs Knox City or South Melbourne Women’s (SL2)

The inaugural winners of the cup in 2013 will take on the winners of tonight’s fixture

Richmond SC vs Melbourne University

Melbourne University have had a decent crack in the competition in recent times, knocking out WPL outfit Boroondara in 2014 and lost to eventual champions Heidelberg in extra time in last year’s quarter-final

Ringwood vs Sandringham SC

Eltham Redbacks vs Skye United

South Melbourne (NPLW) vs Yarraville Glory

Boroondara Eagles vs Point Cook

The Eagles have rich history in the competition, being 2015 champions and 2016 semi-finalists

Bayside United vs Calder United

The one all-NPLW fixture in round 2

Bulleen Lions vs Ballarat Eureka Strikers

The 2014 champion and 2016 runner-up will be taking on an outfit which itself has had NPLW ambitions

Brunswick Zebras vs Southern United

Moreland Zebras vs Croydon City Arrows

Heidelberg United vs Old Xaverians

The reigning champions defeated the Old Xaverians last year along the way

Preston Lions vs Keilor Park

Alamein FC vs South Yarra

Alamein were knocked out on penalties to Heidelberg in last year’s semi final

Mazenod United vs Mooroolbark SC

Bundoora United vs Melbourne Knights

Bundoora are a former finalist, losing out to Box Hill in 2013
