Port Melbourne Sharks have added firepower to their stocks with the signing of Chris Cristaldo for 2017.

He last featured for Melbourne City’s NPL team in 2016.

The forward’s senior journey commenced with the VTC in 2011, making 18 VPL appearances.

His form was noticed by Melbourne Victory, with the club adding him to their youth setup in the same year.

He led the National Youth League goalscoring charts in 2012, his form culminating in a senior debut in November 2012, with a maiden A-League goal coming in March 2013 against Perth Glory and Young Socceroo appearances in 2012.

In the meantime he featured for Hume City with two goals in 17 games for the Broadmeadows outfit in 2014.

After departing Victory in 2015 Cristaldo signed for Werribee City, where he scored four goals in 12 games before departing mid-season.

He joined Melbourne City in 2015 where he netted 10 times in 19 games for their NPL team in NPL2.

He again departed before the season concluded and was reported to have signed for Paraguayan club Nacional Asunción.

However he returns to join Dom Barba’s Port Melbourne side, with recruitment at full swing early at JL Murphy Reserve, Cristaldo being the seventh signing for 2017.
