Avondale FC have made defender Peter Franjic their fourth signing of the off-season for the 2017 NPL Victoria season.

The former Young Socceroo is also the third player to make the switch from Hume City, joining former teammates Chris Oldfield and Ramazan Tavsancioglu at Avondale.

The 24-year-old is a well-known figure in Victorian as an ex-Melbourne Victory player in the A-League.

After spending his youth at Bulleen and the VIS, winning the AFF U-16 Youth Championship in 2008, Franjic made a senior debut in the VPL with Melbourne Knights in 2009.

His early potential caught the eyes of Victory, who signed him that year.

He played 31 A-League in total between 2010-13, where he was released thereafter.

A short stint at Richmond in 2013 yielded 14 appearances before he joined Hume City in 2014.

Franjic appeared in 47 games across three seasons at the Broadmeadows, scoring four times.

In between he also had a brief spell at Uzbek club Olmaliq in 2014.

To date the centre-back has 75 games in the VPL/NPL and four goals to his name.

Alongside Oldfield and Tavsancioglu, Franjic also joins Evan Christodoulou as a new addition at Avondale.
