Goran Lozanovski quits Northcote

Championship winning head coach Goran Lozanovski has walked out on Northcote City, after a five-year association with the club.

Lozanovski is said to have departed the club after last weekend’s 3-0 loss to South Melbourne – the final game of the NPL Victoria regular season – and his tenure at the club this year was said to have been strained by off the field incidents.

The expert man manager and former Socceroo won the 2013 VPL Championship, but since then has seen his playing stocks raided, with the departures of key personnel leaving the club scrambling for reinforcements and leading to inconsistent form.

He took charge of the club in 2012 after a short stint as assistant coach the year prior, and has worked wonders with the limited resources available at the club.

Northcote are yet to release an official statement regarding the news.
