Jeggo makes Scandinavian switch

Tenacious Green Gully midfielder Luc Jeggo has traded the NPL Victoria for Norway, making the move to Floro SK for the 2016 season.

The former Melbourne Victory Youth skipper – who turns 22 next month – was a part of the A-League club’s youth set up between 2010-2014, taking the captains armband for the 2013-14 season.

He appeared within the senior set-up for a number of pre-season fixtures but never made a first team appearance for the club.

A Keilor Park and Green Gully junior, Jeggo made his Victorian top-flight debut with the Victorian Training Centre (VTC) in 2011 alongside brother James (now of Adelaide United).

He furthered his development with the Bentleigh Greens in 2014, where he made nine appearances and scored two goals before suffering an ACL injury in the 2014 season.

Jeggo was one of the Greens’ key players before succumbing to the serious knee injury, which kept him away from football until the midway point of the 2015 season.

Having secured a move to Gully that year, he ended up playing 10 games for the club, scoring one goal on his return to fitness.

Floro SK finished sixth on the 2. divisjon ladder in Norway last season and just a win off second place, and Jeggo will be looking to help his new side achieve a better season on the pitch.
