Versatile midfielder Bradley Murray has parted ways with the Moreland Zebras and opted to join Werribee City for the 2017 NPL2 season.

The former Preston North End Academy player was a sensation in the Moreland Zebras midfield and played a key role in the past two seasons in his three-year spell at the club.

The 23-year-old hit his form through the middle of 2015, however a back injury left him on the sidelines for up to two months.

Murray did return that season and featured in the promotion play off game against Melbourne Victory, however former coach Danny Gnjidic and his men bowed out in heartbreaking fashion.

Behind Daniel Petrov, Murray was one of the standout players for the Zebras last season, missing only one out of the 28 games due to suspension against St Albans.

Murray played 52 games for the club and his absence as the backbone of the Zebras midfield will be missed by the Moreland faithful.

Murray follows the suite of former Zebras to leave the club in the off-season, with Baggio Yousif and James Kelly joining Northcote and Dandenong City respectively.
