Public Vote: From State One marksman, to NPL Victoria’s most fruitful link-man for the month of May, Ryan ‘Patchy’ Paczkowski strung together a solid month of football across both flanks for Bentleigh Greens. The Englishman was brilliant in wins against Green Gully and Port Melbourne Sharks where his delivery set up the winning goal in both games. He was amongst the bests in the draw against Heidelberg, while he worked hard in the big win against Northcote City and in the draw with Bulleen Lions. Polled 36.34% of the total vote, with Oakleigh Cannons’ Dusan Bosnjak finishing a close second on 26.69%.

Votes from the panel also found their way to Heidelberg United midfielder Harry Noon who strung together an exceptional month of football, but the overwhelming majority agreed that Oakleigh Cannons attacking midfielder Dusan Bosnjak was worthy of top honours. Noted not only for his strong finishing – scoring five goals for the month – Bosnjak also fleshed out chances for his teammates and combined exceptionally with Dimi Hatzimouratis.

Public Vote:
The Englishman becomes the first person to win consecutive Player of the Month awards after yet another brilliant month in the league. One of the most gifted finishers playing at any level in Victoria, let alone just the NPL2, Barnes has proven himself a cut above the competition. A 17 goal return in his five games this month included a bag of three against Moreland City, a lazy four in a 6-0 rout of Eastern Lions and the pièce de résistance, the well-documented eight goal haul against Nunawading City. Polled 45.51% of the total vote.

Media Vote: Brandon Barnes (Dandenong Thunder)
Unanimous decision from the panel to hand the inside forward his second Player of the Month award.
