It was a long and arduous year in the NPL and WPL, but it certainly didn’t lack any lighter moments off the pitch. From coaches, club accounts and players, to our own shortcomings at TCF , this is the no holds barred 2015 in social media… and stuff.

We start off with various typos and stuff coming from the leagues’ official accounts:

NPL | Before the shock move for Kostas Katsouranis, Heidelberg had seemingly lured Hume stars Daniel Clark and Marcus Schroen over to Olympic Village:

Clubs

State leagues | First they failed to land Louis Saha for an FFA Cup game, then Sepp Blatter presumably didn’t give Caulfield a shout-out for their promotion. But we applaud the club’s ambition:

NPL | Moving on to the NPL, and boy did Bentleigh’s Grand Final triumph justify this arrogance/premonition/bold statement:

Congratulations on reaching it this far. We move onto some individual brilliance.

NPL | We begin with the curious case of Adam Nakic, who not only unknowingly has his identity paraded around on the RMIT hotties page, but also had it stolen to improve someone’s chances of getting lucky:

NPL | Speaking of the beautiful game, Dandenong City were all too happy to parade around former golden boy Steven Topalovic. He was also a model professional, winning the NPL Victoria.

NPL | Staying at Kingston Heath, while Luke O’Dea again couldn’t string many minutes on the pitch, he was certainly earning more minutes of fame off it:

WPL | Speaking of actual fame, a lucky fan in 1D’s Niall Horan got to mix it with the FFV’s very own Hall of Famer, Melissa Barbieri:
