South Melbourne tickled pink in breast cancer charge

by Jordan Lim 1

South Melbourne Women’s Football Club have launched a new initiative at Lakeside Stadium for their Round Seven clash with Box Hill United, with their ‘Pink Sports Day’ campaign aimed at raising money and awareness for Breast Cancer Network Australia.

The club has urged those attending the clash to wear a touch of pink to show their support for the cause, with all donations on the day going directly to the Breast Cancer Network of Australia.

South Melbourne are also urging spectators to donate towards the same cause on Friday night, as the men’s team host Avondale FC at Lakeside also.

The Corner Flag would also like to pledge a donation of $10 per goal scored across the two South Melbourne fixtures, and we urge you to also donate what you can for a wonderful cause.

If you’d like to match our cash per goal charge, please contact the site through our Facebook and Twitter.
