Not to be outdone by Avondale FC’s transfers last night, Oakleigh have announced the signings of three former A-League players Matthew Foschini, Kofi Danning and Sean Rooney.

24-year-old right-back Foschini played at Melbourne Victory between 2009-2013 for 53 games, before enjoying stints in Salgaocar in India.

This will be his second stint at Oakleigh, having also played the the club between 2007 and 2008.

Kofi Danning was most recently at Brisbane Roar, having also spent time at second division Belgian club C.S Vise, where he made only four appearances.

Previously the 24-year-old also played at Sydney FC, scoring three goals in 22 games.

Former Australian youth international Sean Rooney, 26, represented Newcastle Jets between 2008 and 20111, scoring three goals in 29 games, before also playing in the I-League.

The trio will strengthen an Oakleigh squad already joined by former Wellington Phoenix man Mirjan Pavlovic and National Youth League player Jakob Williams this mid-season transfer window.

The revival under Arthur Papas is well underway, having amassed three wins from five games, including inflicting South Melbourne’s first league defeat since August 2014.
