Bulleen Lions have landed another big coup, signing WPL Championship-winner Jamie Pollock from South Melbourne.

In just half a season at Lakeside, the midfielder scored 13 goals, three of those in the finals series as South went on the claim the WPL Grand Final on penalties.

The American’s form in the Victorian top flight saw her earn selection for Melbourne Victory’s W-League campaign, where she played out the full season.

A promising footballer from a young age, the Harrison High School product was selected as an NSCAA Youth All-American in 2007 – alongside Melbourne Victory teammate Christine Nairn – before winning their MVP award in her senior year.

Her college football tenure saw her make 83 appearances for the University of Georgia, contributing 12 goals and eight assists.

She was then offered a professional contract at the then Women’s Professional Soccer club Atlanta Beat in 2012, but the league folded that season.

Pollock then turned out for National Women’s Soccer League club Boston Breakers’ reserve side.

She played at American second division side Atlanta Silverbacks in 2014, before moving to South for the remainder of the 2015 season.

With Bulleen’s inclusion in the NPLW, the midfielder makes the transition to Victoria’s top flight once more.

“I believe Jamie’s dynamic football and experience will provide the team more opportunities and solution to face the WNPL competition this season,” Lions’ coach Ricardo Martinez said.

Pollock is the club’s second high-profile signing of the season, joining prolific Canadian goalscorer Taryne Boudreau at the Veneto Club for 2016.
